Mrs. Martha Fleming, nurse. A middle-aged woman standing in a doorway of what looks like a dining room with a light fixture behind her, a door into another room beyond, and a dismantled dining table with a doily on it. She is wearing a pleated short-sleeved high-neck blouse tucked into a skirt and is wearing a wristwatch. Clipping: "Typical of those celebrating Armistice Day is Mrs. Martha Fleming, now a nurse at Masonic Home, who was overseas Nov. 11, 1918. Twenty-five years ago, Mrs. Fleming was a Red Cross nurse with the AEF [American Expeditionary Forces] at Allery, France. She learned of the Armistice at 1 p. m." Stamped Star-Telegram. Eve.
