Image shows The Texas Christian University baseball team is hosting the University of Texas Longhorns. Jack Stone, Texas second basemen, is shown swinging mightily from the left side of the plate. He is admiring the long, two-run homerun. The catcher is TCU's Ralph Tankersley and the Umpire is Houston Milton. Stone's homerun opened the floodgates to the Longhorns' 21-3 victory. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 6, 1940.
