Harn Jr., is wearing a Private's uniform with the dress shirt and plain tie and a medal on his breast pocket. He is wearing a side hat or Garrison cap. Clipping: "Lt. O. L. Harn Retires From Army but Son Carries On There'll still be a member of the Harn family of Fort Worth in World War II, even though First LT. Olin Lee Harn has been retired after serving in two wars. Carrying on in the service will be Pvt. Olin Lee Harn Jr., 19, who has just completed basic training at Camp Wolters and is at home on an eight day leave before reporting to Fort Meade, Md., for advanced training. The father's retirement became official this week after he had served for 15 months at Normoyle Ordnance Depot at San Antonio. Lieutenant Harn was a gunner's mate first class, serving abord the USS Arkansas in World War I. His home is at 3913 Monticello." Stamped: Star-Telegram Evening Oct 29, 1943
