Description

J. S. Noland, Midland, Texas district land man. A man standing against a wall painted with a cafe scene and a map is taped over the painting. He's wearing a double-breasted suit, light shirt, abstract shapes on his tie, and a name tag stuck to his lapel. There is a folded manila folder stuffed into his jacket pocket. He is wearing eyeglasses. Clipping: "J. S. Noland has returned to Midland as district land man for Phillips Petroleum Company, previously having held that position there with Barnsdall Oil Company. He was conservation manager for Barnsdall before joining Phillips." No stamp, hand lettered "Oct. 31, '43 Sunday"
