Three Polytechnic High School Reserve Officers' Training Corps (R. O. T. C.) cadets were presented with medals by the sponsors of their respective companies after being named the neatest members of their units. Standing outside the school, left to right, are Nelsie Jane Love, Company A sponsor; Lieutenant Weldon Wilson, Company A; Virginia Thaxton, Company B sponsor; Sergeant Albert C. McDaniel, Company B; Virginia Stalcup, Company C sponsor; and Sergeant Buford Culver, Company C. The cadets and sponsors are wearing their R. O. T. C. uniforms.
