Left to right, Mrs. H. W. Jefferson appointed as major for the Alice Carlson School section, and Mrs. W. R. Christiansen, appointed as major for the George Clarke School. In the photograph, both women are standing in front of a bare wall and smiling as they pose for the camera.. Mrs Jefferson is wearing an inner blouse with a buttoned cardigan on top and a hat with feathers. She also has her purse under her left armpit. Mrs. Christiansen is wearing an inner collared shirt and a buttoned suit jacket with a big bow on her hair. They both have a circular pin with a triangle inscribed and the letters "CD" written inside the triangle attached to their jackets.
