Officials of Seventh District Conference of Altrusa International. Left to right, Miss Mary Jo Popplewell of Beaumont, Doctor Nina Fay Calhoun of Dallas and Miss Eula Lee Carter.Three middle-aged or older women standing in a ballroom corner setting, in front of painted paneling and an unfurled flag. Popplewell is wearing a square-neck with gathered shoulders dress of brocade with a fitted waist, darts in the bodice, puff short-sleeves, and an A-line skirt. A corsage of roses is on her shoulder and a jeweled broach is at both corners of her bodice neckline. She is wearing eyeglasses, a wristwatch, holding a brocade pocketbook, and there is a sheaf of papers in her right hand. Calhoun is wearing a name tag on her dark short-sleeved dress with a matching collar and sleeve cuffs of sequins stitched into place. She has flowers in her hair, an organization's pin on her bodice, is holding a small light beaded handbag, and is wearing rings on both hands and a small wristwatch. Carter is wearing a short-sleeved dark velvet dress with a shirred bodice, with jeweled clips on either side of the square neckline, and darts giving fullness to the skirt. She is wearing a pendant on a chain around her neck and a ribbon name tag on the bodice of the dress.
