Description
Two future Women's Auxiliary Ferrying Squadron (W. A. F. S.) arrived from Stormville, New York. They will spend the weekend in Fort Worth, Texas, before checking in at Avenger Field in Sweetwater, Texas, to start their course in flying. The fliers, left to right, are Miss Madeline Sullivan and Miss Joanne Wallace. Both women have student pilot licenses and already know how to fly. They want to wear silver wings, earned by their ability in taking planes up and setting them down. Miss Sullivan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Sullivan. She is wearing a collared blouse and a double breasted blazer. Miss Wallace is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Wallace. She is wearing a dress with a large bow in the front and a pearl necklace.
