Description

Plainview, Texas, held its 13th annual Panhandle Plains Dairy Show. The exhibition included both dairy cattle and dairy products and attracted crowds from wide areas of the Plains country. Joe Hales is shown milking Hales Ruby Homestead, a two-year-old Holstein cow. The cow is owned by H. B. Hales & Sons, of Amarillo, Texas. Joe is wearing a collared shirt, trousers and a cowboy hat. He is sitting on an overturned pail.
