Cachet of first-day cover for new 5-cent commemorative paying tribute to Norway's resistance to Nazi domination. Designed by Dorothy Knapp and issued by Fleetwood Cover Service. At the bottom of the cachet is a scroll upon which is written "The Viking Spirit will not Submit to the Oppressor. Above the scroll is a drawing of a male Viking along with an outline of Norway. Behind the outline is the flag of Norway. This photograph was published in the August 7, 1943 morning edition of the Star-Telegram.
