Description
A fire raged through the Colonial Country Club early Friday. The stately columns at the front of the club house remained standing after the white frame structure was swept away by the $100,000 fire. The east and central portions of the building were left in ruins. The extent of the damage was in the north wing. The white paneling is charred and the windows are shattered. The roof collapsed in some places and is caving in others. There's a fireman in front of the building carrying a rolled-up hose.
