    Description

    Mrs. A. Haller was born in Poland near the German border in 1900. She came to the United States in 1920 when her husband, Mr. Haller sent for her. He arrived from Poland in 1914 right after the First World War. She has seen Poland ravaged by both Germany and Russia, and was anxious to come to a country that offered security and freedom from persecution. Mrs. Haller has lived in Fort Worth, Texas for the past twenty-three years. She has three daughters in war work and a son-in-law in the Marines. Mrs. Haller's sister and brother in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Szlama Zelton, arrived in Fort Worth, Texas in 1940 as refugees from Nazi Germany. Mrs. Haller is standing in front of a curtain wearing a floral dress. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 9, 1943.
