Students at Lake Worth High School are striking over the school's failure to retain Principal V. E. Ramsey. Refusing to join the strike are, left to right, Mary Lou Gresham, Betty Walker, and Ima Jean Shelton. They are shown sitting in the study hall presided over by Ramsey. Mary Lou is wearing a dark colored dress with a pattern down the front. Betty is wearing a paisley dress. Ima Jean is dressed in a collared blouse and a skirt.
