    Description

    The goal of the People's Library Movement is for every Texan to have library service. A permanent organization is being formed with that objective in mind. Leaders of the movement met at the Blackstone Hotel. They are, left to right, Mrs. George West Diehl, Mrs. E. H. Marek, Mrs. John C. Murphree, and Mrs. L. R. Wade. Mrs. Diehl, of Corpus Christi, Texas, is dressed in a hat, button-up blouse, and a skirt. Mrs. Marek, of Yoakum, Texas, is wearing a hat and a polka-dot dress. Mrs. Murphree, of Dallas, Texas, is dressed in a hat, a blouse with pearl buttons and a wide collar, and a skirt. Mrs. Wade, of Livingston, Texas, is wearing a hat and a button-down dress.
