Description

Four newcomers arrived at the Forest Park Zoo needing accommodations. The new visitors are Marmosets, a rare edition of the monkey family. They are the size of a rat with blackish gray fur, white ear tuffs, long ringed tails, and a monkey-like face. Eight-year-old Joan Raymond is holding one of the marmosets that her father Captain Frank W. Raymond brought back with him from Brazil. She will get to keep one monkey, another will go to a friend, and two will stay with the zoo. Zookeeper Julian Frazier solved the housing problem by putting the Marmosets in the bird house. Mr. Frazier said the marmosets make nice little pets.
