Maurice L., Andre D., Mrs. Josiah Combs, and Pascall S., left to right, gathered at the United Service Organization headquarters at Hotel Texas. Mrs. Combs is a native of France and is living in Fort Worth, Texas. The men are all French naval fliers, of the Free French Forces, who are receiving flight instruction at the naval base at Grand Prairie, Texas. Mrs. Combs is shown sitting on a bench next to Pascall S., while Maurice L. and Andre D. stand at the left. The men are dressed in their naval uniforms and Mrs. Combs is wearing a dark, striped dress, a hat, a coat and gloves. In her lap is a purse. A poster taped to the back wall lists a directory of Churches of Christ in Fort Worth, Texas.
