Description
"Bugle Bird," the purebred horse of Major General Kenyon A. Joyce. Shown with the horse is Sergeant M. T. Giles. Giles is standing in front of the horse, wearing a military uniform and a hat. Beside them is a trough filled with hay and a fence behind it. "Bugle Bird" received the most careful attention of all the 286 horses of a detachment of Seventh Cavalry troops from Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas, which visited Fort Worth, Texas. The horses were fed and watered at the stockyards.
