Description
Participants in the May procession at Saint Mary's Catholic Church included, left to right, Miss Jeannine Suezeneau, crown bearer, Miss Margaret Jay, Sodality president, who crowned the statue of the Virgin Mary (in background), Reverend A. Schmitt, pastor of St. Mary's, Miss Beverly Muller and Miss Gay Lovette. The three young girls (Misses Suezeneau, Muller and Lovette) are wearing short-sleeve, lacy dresses and flower crowns. Miss Jay is wearing a longer dress with lace detailing and long, transparent sleeves. Reverend Schmitt is wearing clerical attire and a pair of eyeglasses. An unidentified young man is standing at the far right. Behind the group is a large floral display with the crowned statue of the Virgin Mary set in the middle. There is a small set of steps leading up to the statue.
