Description
Dewey Shilling (foreground), of Technical High School, shown in the lead in the 200-yard low hurdle race at Farrington Field. He is jumping over the last row of hurdles. Behind him, lying on the ground, is Bobby Johnson, of Amon Carter Riverside High School, who tripped and fell. Others in the race, left to right, are Earl Farley, of Technical High School, Billy Ryan, of Polytechnic High School, and J. B. Kearby, of Arlington Heights High School. They finished behind Shilling in order named. In the background (at right) are spectators sitting in the bleachers, watching the race.
