Description

Mrs. Warren Pugh (left) and Mrs. J. L. King (right) watch as Uel Thompson carves out a big chunk of beef on an outdoor table. The meat shortage demonstration was held at Mrs. Pugh's farm in Azle, Texas. Mrs. Pugh and Mrs. King are holding both sides of the piece of beef. Both women are wearing floral dresses with aprons. Mr. Thompson is wearing a long-sleeve coat. On the table is another piece of beef and a saw.
