Description
Lieutenant H. M. Locker, 22, is fully recovered from 14 wounds received in one his regular early morning bombings of Bizerte in Tunisia. He is passing through Fort Worth, Texas, en route back to North Africa to resume his military duties. He is the recipient of the Silver Star, Purple Heart and Air Medal, and was made an honorary member of the Sixth Spahis Regiment of the French Foreign Legion. Lieutenant Locker is shown sitting at a wooden table with an array of plates, glasses and papers in front of him. An ashtray and a tea kettle are also on the table. Locker appears to be eating from his plate and has one hand on a salt shaker. He is wearing his military uniform. Behind him are other tables and benches.
