Description

Donald Gene High watches twins, Essie Stark and Dessie Stark, sew stars on the service flag for his two brothers, whom he'll soon join in uniform. The service flag is draped on a table while the twins, seated, work on it. There are several stars already on the Lena Pope Home service flag. Donald sits on the table and looks at the girls. Behind them is a large American flag. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, March 28, 1943.
