Envelope showing cachet for booklet panes. The cachet was designed by Dorothy Knapp and produced by the Fleetwood Cover Service. It features the title "Join the Air Force and See Tokio (sp). Several United States war planes are flying under the title. The plane in the bottom right corner is dropping bombs on an outline of Japan. The 6-cent Air Mail stamp contains a photograph of a war plane.This photograph was published in the March 28, 1943 morning edition of the Star-Telegram.
