Sergeant Edward W. Phillips, 21, graduate of Arlington Heights High School, former student of Texas Christian University (TCU) and a Lena Pope Home boy, was one of a number of Texans who took part in an American bombing raid over Germany on March 18, 1943. Sergeant Phillips is pictured in his official military portrait photograph. He is wearing a shirt, a scarf and a pair of goggles on his head. He is looking upward and to his left.
