First Class Petty Officer Irvin A. Alcorn, 28, has spent 39 months at sea during which he went through nine major engagements. Alcorn joined the United States Navy in 1931 after playing two years of football at North Side High School. His wife is Mrs. Theresa Alcorn. He came to Fort Worth, Texas, to visit his mother, Mrs. C. R. Albrecht, and his grandmother, Mrs. Beulah Housewright. Officer Alcorn is a ship's cook. He is shown standing against a wall, wearing his military uniform.
