Description
Image shows firemen fought the stubborn three alarm fire for three hours in the rain at the Metropolitan Building. They are shown scaling a ladder to fight the flames that spread to the hotel rooms. There is a sign behind them for "Stonestreet and Davis". There was extensive damage to the Chamber of Commerce offices, Milner Hotel, and the Texas Buffet Café. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition March 13, 1943.
