Description
A fire broke out at the Metropolitan Building causing extensive damage to the Milner Hotel. Three young magazine salesman helped save the day during the fire. Two are pictured left to right, Jimmy Chivers and David Whittington. The young men helped hotel guests carry their belongings to safety during the fire. Jimmy Chivers of San Antonio, Texas, is wearing a suit. He is carrying a large suitcase, a magazine and a pillow. David Whittington of Cameron, Texas, is dressed in a striped shirt, blazer, and trousers. He is carrying two suitcases, a pillow, magazine, and clothes on hangers.
