Mrs. F. M. Crittenden is the mother of three sons in military service. Mrs. Crittenden is standing by a dinner table, placing a fork and knife on either side of a plate. She is looking to her left and smiling. Mrs. Crittenden is wearing a floral print dress and a pair of eyeglasses. Behind her is a door and a hat rack where two hats and scarves are hanging. Mrs. Crittenden uses her five bedroom house to offer housing for workers from the nearby Consolidated Aircraft plant. Her sons in the service are Private First Class F. M. Crittenden Junior, Private First Class D. M. Crittenden, and Sergeant Robert W. Crittenden. Her husband is assistant chief of construction at the Marine Air Station at Eagle Mountain Lake.
