Mrs. Bessie Paxton, right, member of the Harris Memorial Methodist Hospital School of Nursing faculty, placing a nurse's cap on student nurse Billie Louise Lewellen, left, during a ceremony at the Woman's Club which marked the completion of six months' training for the students. Both women are wearing nurses' uniforms. Miss Lewellen is also wearing a dark cape and is holding a candle in her left hand. On the wall behind Mrs. Paxton is a mirror.
