Staff Sergeant T. F. Averiett was back home to visit his wife, who was injured in a fall. The couple are sitting on a piano bench. Sergeant Averiett is wearing his military uniform and his wife is wearing a pair of trousers and a buttoned up shirt. She is also wearing a pair of eyeglasses. Sergeant Avierett has his arm around his wife's shoulder while her hands are resting on her knees. Behind them is a piano. A window can be seen beside the piano, at the far left. Sergeant Averiett is on furlough from Spokane Air Depot, Galena, Washington.
