C. A. Blanton (right) presenting check to R. E. Harding. Mr. Blanton is wearing a highly textured suit with a matching suit vest underneath and a brimmed hat and Mr. Harding is wearing a dark, striped suit with a patterned tie and a pair of glasses. Both are holding on to one side of the check and smiling slightly as they look at it. The check is for $5000 and is to serve as a partial payment for the scrap derived from the all-out scrap drive held recently. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, February 19, 1943.
