Miss Jean Hooper, daughter of Mrs. J. C. Machue, is a member of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (W. A. A. C.) Pioneer Platoon. Miss Hooper is shown standing in front of an empty wall, wearing a patterned jacket with a blouse underneath. She is also wearing a pair of eyeglasses and has her hands behind her back. She is smiling and looking off to her right. She, along with the other women in the platoon, will leave for Fort Des Moines.
