Description
Mrs. Beaumont Burgess. Mrs. Burgess is shown standing in front of an empty wall wearing a dress and three chain necklaces. She appears to be looking down at the insignia given to her by Major John H. Smith. Major Smith gave her the insignia, because Mrs. Burgess's husband, Lieutenant Burgess, could not be there to get his own. Currently he is unreported in the Philippines. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 15, 1943.
