Description
J. N. R. Score, president of Southwestern University, left, breaking ground for the new auditorium at Castleberry Methodist Church. Reverend Carroll Thompson, pastor of the church, right, looks on. The Castleberry Church was organized under the auspices of First Methodist Church when Reverent Score was pastor. Both men are dressed in double-breasted suits. Reverend Score is holding a shovel loaded with a pile of dirt. Behind the reverends are several people who are witnessing the ground breaking ceremony. Next to Reverend Score is a small rope boundary to mark where the building will be located.
