    Description

Mrs. F. W. Broiles and her grand-daughter, Eleanor Broiles, looking at slippers, a present from her son, Captain Hiram Broiles who brought them back from Morocco. Mrs. Broiles is shown sitting in a chair next to her grand-daughter who is standing beside her. Mrs. Broiles is holding a pair of shoes in her hands, one of each she and her gran-daughter are both inspecting. The shoes are covered in an intricate design and appear to be slip-on shoes or mules. Mrs. Broiles is wearing a long, dark dress and Eleanor is wearing a checkered skirt with a sweater and a cardigan. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, February 11, 1943.
