Description

Three soldiers visiting the United Service Organizations (U. S. O.) lounge at Santa Fe Station, who received slices of some of the 87 pies and nine cakes which Ennis, Texas, members of Rebekah Lodge 104 brought with them when they were hostesses for the day. The servicemen, left to right, are Private First Class John Campbell, of Des Moines, Iowa, Private Harold Litschke, of Halbrite, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Private Sam Reinick of Fon du Lac, Wisconsin. They are all wearing military uniforms. The women, left to right, are Mrs. Kate Cloud, Miss Myrtle Butler, Mrs. Carrie Louise Riddle, Mrs. Delia Richardson, Mrs. Rena Mounts and Mrs. Elsie Kirk. They are serving the servicemen slices of pie and cake. Hanging on the back wall is a large map of the United States.
