Description
Three Army wives, Mrs. Vernon Wildman, Mrs. Nile Evans and Mrs. E. W. Marcum, have moved to Fort Worth, pooled their families under one big house and learned to live in high spirits on a low budget. They live at 1013 Ramsey Street. The man of the house is Virgil C. Cook of Denver, Colorado, father of Mrs. Wildman and Mrs. Marcum. Mr. Cook is shown feeding chickens surrounding his feet, with a few shown walking away. Mr. Cook is wearing a flannel shirt with a pair of trousers and a pair of eyeglasses. The walls of the small chicken coop are made of pieces of cardboard and there is a container that holds the feed. Mr. Cook's poultry flock produces about 18 eggs each day for his family. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, February 14, 1943.
