Michael Kattus (left) and his mother, Mrs. Joseph H. Kattus, and (right) Michael McCabe and his mother, Mrs. Frank S. McCabe. The fathers of both boys are in the Army, stationed at Camp Wolters in Mineral Wells, Texas. Michael Kattus is sitting on a swing with his mother standing behind him, holding the chains. He is wearing a pair shorts with suspenders and a striped t-shirt and his mother is wearing a blazer and skirt. Michael McCabe is climbing the side of the swing set and his mother is standing beside him. He is wearing a shirt, trousers and suspenders and his mother is wearing a dark skirt and a flannel patterned jacket. At the far right is a sandbox.
