Description
Ensign William J. Hudson didn't let cancellation of four plane reservations discourage him. He got a ride in a naval bomber and arrived in Fort Worth in time to spend his leave with Mrs. Hudson, who came from Washington to meet him. The couple is shown standing in front of an empty wall, with Ensign Hudson standing slightly behind his wife. He is wearing a military uniform that includes a hat and a double-breasted jacket while his wife wearing a jacket with a large, fur collar and two beaded necklaces. Mrs. Hudson is also holding a purse in her arms. She is looking up at her husband, smiling widely as Ensign Hudson looks at the camera and smiles slightly. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 16, 1943.
