Description
The Block Mothers is a local organization with 10,000 members. They are putting plans into motion to organize their neighborhoods before additional rationing programs go into effect. Standing against a wall, left to right, are Mrs. J. C. Echols and Mrs. V. J. Hill. Both women were recently elected colonels of their respected areas. Mrs. Echols represents the Polytechnic district of Fort Worth, Texas. She is dressed in a hat, button-up blouse with a lace collar, and a skirt. Mrs. Hill is in command of the South Side district. She is wearing a hat, button-up dress, and a pearl necklace.
