Mrs. Penn is shown standing in front of an empty wall wearing her nurse's uniform and a pair of glasses. She appears to be looking to her right. She is a nurse at the Travis Avenue Baptist Church Nursery. She has two sons in service, Aviation Cadet William Herschel Penn, stationed for advanced training at the United States Naval Aviation Base at Corpus Christi, and Corporal Gordon F. Penn, is stationed at the Army Advanced Flying School of Eagle Pass. Both sons attended North Texas Agricultural College. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, January 26, 1943.
