Corporal Stan Roberts of New York is shown sitting in a chair with a plate in one hand and a teacup in the other. He is looking up at an unnamed woman, who is handing him a tray with another plate on it, with a somewhat surprised expression on his face. Roberts is wearing a military uniform and a pair of eyeglasses. He has a napkin on his knee and his hat set on his lap. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 14, 1943.
