247,000 Ration Books No. 2 were stowed away in the vault Friday at the Tarrant County War Price and Rationing Board office. Ration Books Number 2 being stored away by Miss Altha Dobson (left), custodian of supplies, and G. L. Robertson, board chairman. Miss Dobson is shown writing on a notepad and checking the contents of one box as Mr. Robertson picks up one of the other boxes. He is wearing a dark suit with a polka-dotted tie and Miss Dobson is wearing a dark jacket with a wide collared blouse and a pair of eyeglasses. The two are standing outside of the vault the books are being stored in. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 9, 1943.
