Description

Johnny Brackett Langford, 18 year old Selective Service registrant, signing up with W. E. Crotty (right). Two men are shown seated as Mr. Langford is signing a small document while Mr. Crotty points to where he should sign. In front of them, there is a table with a variety of documents and a few pens. Mr. Langford is wearing a dark jacket with a buttoned-up shirt underneath and Mr. Crotty is wearing a suit vest with a long-sleeve shirt underneath and a pair of eyeglasses. Behind them is a closed window. Mr. Langford became Tarrant County's first Selective Service registrant. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, December 11, 1942.
