Description
Two of the 2,000 soldiers who were served coffee and cookies at the United Service Organization (U. S. O.) at the Santa Fe Station in the previous week were Private James A. Shields (far left) and Private Donald Dorman (third from left). The servers were Mrs. Charles Levinson (second from left) and Mrs. Preston Fowlkes (far right), second vice president and president of the Jaycee Ettes, respectively. The servicemen are sitting at a square table, both wearing their military uniform and holding a cigarette. Mrs. Levinson is wearing a dress belted at the waist and a necklace. She has a ribbon bow in the hair. She is holding a coffee cup and saucer in her right hand. Mrs. Fowlkes is wearing a dress and is holding a plate of cookies.
