Description
Mrs. George Bedo standing in her doorway. For 13 years, Mrs. Bedo and her husband had their home among the trees of the Trinity bottom, near Paddock Viaduct. At 68 they are having to take "rainy day" savings, and move their home, plank by plank, to another place due to a war plant nearby. Mrs. Bedo is mother of three sons in service, one son in the Navy and two in the Army. In this picture, Mrs. Bedo is wearing a long-sleeve sweater over a long, dotted dress. Her left hand is holding the wooden door open as her right side leans on the other side of the door frame. Outside her door are various buckets, pieces of gravel and rocks scattered about. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 11, 1942.
