Seven enthusiastic Navy lads, all under 21, are now spending a nine-day leave, visiting friends and relatives after five weeks' service with the Navy at Great Lakes, III. Shown are from left to right: James E. Fisher, Arthur Schmitt and Jimmy Tidwell. They are in uniforms, standing against a bare wall, facing front and looking to the camera. James and Jimmy are wearing eyeglasses. James, 21, son of J. E. Fisher, is an aviation metalsmith, second class seaman. Arthur,17, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Schmitt, is the youngest of the seven men. He is signalman, second class. Jimmy, 21, son of Mrs. B. T. Tidwell is an aviation machinist's mate. They will leave Tuesday to report to various trade schools.
