Seven enthusiastic Navy lads, all under 21, are now spending a nine-day leave, visiting friends and relatives after five weeks' service with the Navy at Great Lakes, III. Shown are from left to right: Le Roy Clark, Richard Warren Raun, Clovis Bass. They are in uniforms, standing against a bare wall, facing front and smiling for the camera. Le Roy Clark, 19, son of M. M. Clark, is a seaman second class. He is soon to attend torpedoman's school. Richard Warren Raun, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Raun is aviation machinist's mate. Clovis Bass, 20, son of C. G. Bass, is aviation radioman, second class seaman. They will leave Tuesday to report to various trade schools. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 6, 1942.
