Description

Buck, Dick and Bob Sitton, twelve year old triplets.Clipping: Sitton Triplets Aren't Doing Much Sittin Today. Buck, Dick and Bob Sitton sneaked into the schoolhouse Thursday morning with sly grins on their faces, but with dread in their 12 year old bosoms. They are triplets and it was their birthday. Sure enough, the gang knew. "I hid out and got only three spankings," said Buck later, he being the triplet whose real name is Royce Buckley Sitton. "They got me," said Dick, he being the one named Richard Lee. "I'm blistered," said Bob, he being the one named Robert Carroll. But the triplets had the last laugh and biggest birthday party ever held in the lunchroom of Polytechnic Elementary School. One long lunchroom table was decorated with flowers and crepe paper favors and there were three cakes, each with 12 midget candles. Published in evening edition, December 3, 1942. Photograph showing three 12 year old brothers smiling and seated at a table. They are triplets. There are three cakes on the table, one in front of each boy. There are lighted candles on each cake. In the background are shelves with books on them.
