Lieutenant James A. Elder. Elder is shown standing in front of a wall wearing a military uniform. He has his hands clasped in front of him and appears to be smiling slightly. Elder was wounded due to a bomb blast, giving him a nerve injury that has kept the flier grounded. His wife is the former Myrtle Rawls or Marfa, Texas and his parents are Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Elder.
